Seika

I want to challenge the traditional beauty standard with my collection “Seika”. I design and make garments for people such as drag queens who modify their bodies with corsets and paddings. This research examines the expressions of drag and fashion. I use traditional and unconventional research methods, including but not limited to: Object based research, Arts based research, Ethnography, Semiotics, Digital storytelling, Interviews, and Practice based research.
